The Prakticar 24 mm f/2.8 MC is a compact, solidly built wide-angle lens with a metal body and multi-coating. Optically, it delivers impressive sharpness even wide open, with good contrast and well-controlled barrel distortion. Weaknesses include notable chromatic aberrations, easily corrected in post, and a tendency to flare, especially without a hood. The aperture ring may feel slightly wobbly, and the 52mm filter thread is less common.
