Overview

The Leitz Canada Telyt-R 250mm f/4 (I) is a heavy (1400g) lens with a long minimum focus distance of 4.5m, limiting its wildlife use (MFlenses). Optical performance is mediocre: noticeable lateral chromatic aberration (phuang3) and soft corners even stopped down, lacking apochromatic correction (rico). Build is solid but weight is a drawback (nikarlo). It suits collectors or those wanting a vintage Leica R lens, but better alternatives exist at lower cost (iangreenhalgh1, MFlenses).
