Overview

The Carl Zeiss Hologon 15mm f/8 is an ultra-wide, ultra-thin triplet lens with minimal distortion and a fixed aperture, but it suffers from significant light fall-off and color shifts on digital cameras. Its build is compact, but handling is challenging due to the need to get very close to subjects. It is extremely rare (only 225 M-mount units) and primarily suits collectors or film photographers willing to work around its limitations.
