Overview

The Takumar 35mm f/4 is Asahi's first wideangle for 35mm SLRs, dating from 1958-1959. It is a full-manual lens with no preset, and fairly rare as it was quickly replaced by the reportedly better f/3.5 version. Optically, it shows zero chromatic aberration and delivers pleasing results, especially at f/8 for landscapes. Build is all-manual, typical of its era.
