    Overview

The Isco-Gottingen Westagon 50mm f/1.9 is a rare M42 lens with a metal body in a plastic housing, described as 'strange but well made'. It is extremely sharp from f/2.8 even at the borders. The later f/1.9 version is considered better than the earlier f/2.0 design (Mos6502). Its bokeh is interesting, similar to the Meyer Domiron 50mm f/2.0, but not quite as pronounced. It suits photographers seeking a sharp vintage normal lens with distinctive rendering, though it is uncommon and may be pricey.
