Overview

The Porst 75-260 mm f/4.5 Tele-zoom MC Macro is a solidly built but heavy (almost 900 g) lens with a smooth focus ring and a stiff zoom ring. Optical performance is disappointing: wide open it lacks detail and shows pronounced purple fringing, and at 260 mm it is worse than a basic 135 mm prime (anamu). However, close-up performance is better (anuma1), and some users find it acceptable for an old zoom (D1N0). It may suit those wanting a macro-capable vintage zoom who can accept its softness and fringing.
