    Overview

    The Sigma DG 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 EX Aspherical is a large, heavy ultra-wide zoom (620g) with a protruding front element and no front filter thread by default. Optically, it is sharp in the center, but distortion is high at the wide end (-5.05% barrel) and chromatic aberration is well controlled. Build quality is very good, but the AF is noisy and manual focus stiff. It suits full-frame and APS-C users needing an affordable ultra-wide zoom, though it shows its age against modern lenses.
