The Focal 28mm f/2.8 MC Auto lens is an inexpensive, all-metal manual lens from the 1980s, likely made by Cosina or Haking. Its build feels solid and tactile, but optical performance is very poor: extremely soft wide open, with low contrast, heavy chromatic aberration, and nervous bokeh. Stopping down to f/8 or f/11 yields usable but unsharp results. It may suit photographers seeking a cheap, character-filled effect lens or a paperweight, but not those wanting sharp images.
