135mm · f/2.8
The Mamiya/Sekor SX 135mm f/2.8 is a 1970s M42 telephoto prime with solid metal construction. Optically, it is very sharp in the center, but the Pentax Takumar 135/2.5 offers better contrast and sharpness at wider apertures. The Mamiya has warmer rendering, softer bokeh due to 6-blade aperture, and may suffer veiling without a hood. It is lighter and cheaper than the Takumar, and suitable for portraits and video on mirrorless via adapter. Requires M42 conversion for some adapters.
