Overview

The Sigma MF Super-Wide II 24mm f/2.8 MC is an old, solidly built lens with very short minimum focus distance (180mm) enabling close-up shots. Optically, it produces nice images but lags behind modern lenses in sharpness, microcontrast, and flare control. The petal hood clips insecurely onto the filter ring and prevents lens cap attachment, often leading to lost hoods. It suits budget-conscious photographers who want a 24mm prime for APS-C or full-frame and value close focusing over absolute optical performance.
