The Fujinon-T 135mm f/2.5 EBC is a fast, all-metal manual focus lens with excellent sharpness, contrast, and color rendering, especially wide open. It is considered better than the Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 135/3.5 and the S-M-C Takumar 135/2.5. Weaknesses include chromatic aberration in high-contrast scenes and a design that requires modification (shaving a lug nut) for use on non-Fujica M42 bodies. The aperture ring lacks half-stop clicks but focuses smoothly with a short throw. It suits enthusiasts willing to modify the lens for superior optical performance.
