Overview

The Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 AMC (Mark II) is a manual-focus APS-C lens offering an ultra-fast f/0.95 aperture for excellent low-light performance and shallow depth of field. Optically, it delivers very good center sharpness wide open, with good contrast and bokeh, but corners are soft and there is some vignetting and chromatic aberration. Build quality is solid all-metal, with a smooth focus ring and a de-clicked aperture ring that some find prone to accidental movement. It suits photographers prioritizing speed and character over corner-to-corner sharpness, such as portrait and low-light shooters.
