    Overview

    The Minolta AF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 RS offers good color rendering and contrast, with sharpness from 50mm onward and decent bokeh. However, it suffers from very poor performance at 24mm, distortion at the wide end, and bad backlight handling with a yellow tint. Build quality is decent and AF is slow. It suits general photography and portraits, but not architecture or critical wide-angle work.
