Overview

The Asanuma 100-300 mm f/5 auto-zoom is a heavy, all-metal lens with a built-in hood and tripod mount, but its weight makes it unsuitable for long walks. Optical quality is decent: nice colors, soft bokeh, and low chromatic aberration, though a fungus-affected sample produced dull images. It is likely a rebranded Tokina, sold as a secondary-market lens with macro capability. Best suited for outdoor landscapes at f/11–f/16, but macro images are slightly soft.
