Overview

The Canon 19mm f/3.5 is a vintage ultra-wide-angle lens known for low distortion and sharpness. Early non-retrofocus versions require mirror lock-up and an external viewfinder. The retrofocus 'R' variant allows normal SLR use but is rare, with fewer than 800 made. Build is solid but large; filter compatibility is tricky (Series IX or 77mm). Some copies may have color cast.
