The SLR Magic 35mm T1.4 cine lens offers good value with reasonable sharpness wide-open and gentle bokeh. Build quality is solid with metal construction and dampened rings, but the smooth aperture ring lacks click-stops, making blind adjustment difficult. The screw-on lens cap is impractical. It suits videographers due to T-stops and follow-focus gears, but still photographers may find handling quirks.
