Overview

The Auto Mamiya Sekor 35mm f/2.8 is an all-metal, mono-coated M42 lens with smooth manual focus and accurate focusing wide open. Optically, it has excellent color balance, no chromatic aberration, and no distortion. However, micro-contrast is low, and sharpness is very soft at f/2.8 and f/4, improving by f/5.6 and sharp at f/8. It suits photographers who prioritize color and distortion control over ultimate sharpness and are comfortable with post-processing to enhance contrast.
