    Overview

    The Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 15mm f/3.5 C/Y is a rare, ultra-wide full-frame lens with excellent build and handling. Optically, it offers very low distortion (2% at edges, per MFLenses) and superb flare resistance due to T* coating (MFLenses). Wide-open performance is acceptable by modern standards. However, it is not the best 15mm; the Leica 15/2.8-R and Nikkor 14-24/2.8G are superior (Fred Miranda). Its high price reflects rarity rather than absolute IQ (Fred Miranda). Suits architecture, landscape, and street photographers seeking a vintage ultra-wide with character (MFLenses).
