    The Nikon Nikkor 15mm f/5.6 Ai is a rare ultra-wide rectilinear lens praised for excellent sharpness and very low distortion, outperforming the modern 14-24mm zoom in that regard. Its slow f/5.6 aperture can cause viewfinder blackout on older cameras but works well on modern DSLRs. Built-in filters (yellow, orange, red) add versatility. It suits landscape, architecture, and creative wide-angle work, especially on full-frame digital or film, but is not recommended for DX digital.
