Overview

The Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm f/0.95 is a manual focus Micro Four Thirds lens offering an ultra-fast f/0.95 aperture for shallow depth of field and excellent low-light performance. Optically, it is surprisingly sharp wide open and blisteringly sharp stopped down, with beautiful bokeh and rendering, but suffers from purple fringing, longitudinal CA at wide apertures, and severe field curvature at infinity. Build quality is exceptional, with all-metal construction and smooth mechanics. It suits photographers who enjoy intentional, manual shooting, especially for environmental portraiture and night street photography.
