    Overview

    The SLR Magic HyperPrime 23mm f/1.7 is a manual-focus lens offering a 35mm equivalent field of view. Optically, it is fairly sharp in the center wide open and sharpens when stopped down, but corners and sides can be soft, and it is optically inferior to Fuji 35/1.4 or Sony E 50/1.8 in sharpness and contrast wide-open. Build is all-metal and solid, with smooth focus and a clickless aperture ring. It suits photographers who prefer manual focus and value compact, Leica-like handling over autofocus convenience.
