The Super-Takumar 28mm f/3.5 is a well-built all-metal lens with smooth manual controls. Optically, it delivers good center sharpness, especially at f/8, but corners are weaker. Colors and contrast are excellent, with natural rendering. Bokeh can be nervous, and the f/3.5 aperture limits low-light use. It is not radioactive. Best suited for landscape and street photography on film or digital, offering good value at $30–100.
