Overview

The MC ARAX 35mm f/2.8 Tilt & Shift lens offers good center sharpness, low distortion, and robust build. Corners are less sharp, especially with extreme shifts, and wide-open performance is underwhelming; stopping down to f/8–f/11 is recommended. It is the only 35mm tilt-shift for Minolta/Sony A-mount, making it ideal for architecture. Chromatic aberration and coma are noted. It is the cheapest wide-angle tilt-shift available, with all-metal construction.
