    Overview

    The Tokina AT-X MACRO 90 mm f/2.5, nicknamed 'Bokina' for its smooth bokeh, is a manual-focus lens with 1:2 magnification. Optically, it offers excellent center sharpness wide open and very good resolution from f/5.6 to f/11, but exhibits purple fringing at f/2.5 and a saw-tooth aperture at f/4. Chromatic aberration is present at f/2.5 but largely gone by f/4. Build is all-metal with a smooth focus ring, though heavy for its size. It suits macro and portrait photographers who prioritize bokeh and manual control, but those needing 1:1 macro may require the dedicated adapter.
